Well, we remember this guy from his camp days… he was the one who was always cold! We are thrilled that even with so many kilometers between us you are joining us this year and we welcome you back to our Green Grove Camp family John Salywon. Not even the cold weather (to him) can keep him away from the memories and friendships he made at camp! John is pretty active so don’t be surprised if he gets you out on the field to play some sports and fun games. We challenge anyone to have a contest with John on who can eat the most Brussel Sprouts this summer!
We are excited to have a teen camper from Green Grove Teen Camp joining us as a volunteer counselor, welcome to Emil Karaiev! We are sure the kids are going to have fun with Emil – especially at swim time, one of his favorite things from teen camp! Emil is sporting the bunnyhug received at teen camp which shows his pride in being a part of our Green Grove family, and we are thrilled to have him with us! He is familiar with the grounds… so be careful when you think you are safe sneaking out, he will know where to find you!

Welcome to Green Grove Camp, Tyan Cherepuschak! We are excited to have you join us this summer as both a counselor for Youth Camp and Teen Camp. Ty has a deep passion for history and a wealth of travel experiences from his university studies across various countries. We know he will bring fascinating insights, especially about Saskatchewan and Ukrainian-Canadian history. Perhaps he will even create a Green Grove Jeopardy game for us! This year, we are thrilled to welcome Valya Long as a new counselor! Having attended camp for many years as a camper, Valya is eager to share many of the fun activities she enjoyed with all of the campers. You won’t have time to sit much because she is a bundle of energy and will have you dancing even when it’s not dance lesson time. Fun times and memory-making are definitely in store, as Valya will have you smiling, laughing, and wanting to stay at camp all summer long!

We are thrilled to welcome Svitlana Khort as one of our volunteer counselors this year. Having attended camp last year, Svitlana’s love for camp life inspired her to return and be a part of it again. Get ready for great fun and challenging activities, as Svitlana brings not just charm but boundless energy to ensure you have the best summer yet! She’ll have you singing tunes at the bonfire, and you can teach her some fun English songs as well. You won’t be sitting still for long, and Svitlana will do her best to make sure you treasure summer as much as she does!
We are lucky to have Ilaria Kotelko Lange joining us as volunteer counselor this year at Green Grove Camp! Ilaria has attended camp since she was a little girl and is excited to be a part of the summer team, looking forward to making sure everyone has as much fun as she always has. Challenge her to a swim or get her to help you with art where she has an incredible talent. Ilaria has the sweetest nature and the kindest smile and is always concerned that everyone is happy and having fun. One thing we know about Ilaria is that she may seem quiet but she’s got a zippy spunk to her and full of laughter and fun, and will be there to ensure you can’t wait to come back to camp next year!
